Rules for the Parents

  1. Parents of kids need to keep their cell phone ON.
    • If not a kid emergency, but a phone rings in your class, then a fine of $10 given to WOW kids.
  2. If you see us (WOW Kids workers) with hat/vest, let us through the lunch line quicker.
  3. There will be a fine for being late about pick up your kids.  Don't take undo advantage of us.
  4. Only a parent can pick up the child, not an older sibling or friend.

Rules for the Kids

  1. We're going to work together!
  2. The first day, let’s do a discipline kind of thing by dividing the entire group into 4 parts, one for each of us.  We then give each group 4 round balloons to tie in their area.  If they get too loud or unruly, they get 2 chances of being told to straighten up.  The third time, one of their balloons gets popped.  This immediately invites peer pressure to help keep control.  Each day they start again with 4 new balloons.  We can give a prize each day or a piece of candy or carny junk to the winning group OR we can have a end-of-the-week prize where the winning group gets to give their leader a pie in the face – or maybe the losing group’s leader a pie in the face or something fun like that.  Janet's done this for VBS a lot and the peer pressure is wonderful to help with discipline!!!
